Anxiety About Coronavirus

You know one of my favorite topics that I talk about here is anxiety.  With the recent events with the state of the world and this health scare it’s obvious to have anxiety about it.  I just wanted to share my thoughts on this topic in hopes to calm your mind.

I’m not professing to know much about the Coronavirus.  I just know that viruses come and GO.  Spring is coming and as people get outside more and it will dissipate.  I feel pretty strongly about that.

As for protecting ourselves… use good common sense around washing your hands and taking extra vitamin C and getting plenty of sleep and eating healthy foods (not much sugar).  This will go a long way towards supporting your immune system.

I think one of the biggest things that we can do as women is to be prepared.  And honestly this Coronavirus scare is such a good reminder for us to look at our lives and see just how prepared we are.

Immediately I’m thinking, do I have enough food?  Could I live easily for 2 weeks or even a month on what we have in our home?

What about financially, do we have savings in case jobs get disrupted or goods go up in price?

Then also emotionally, where is my emotional health.  This one here is probably the MOST important!  If we don’t have balanced emotional health then we’re not going to be able to function very well.  We’re no good to anyone in a health scare or natural disaster if we don’t have our emotional health!

We don’t want to panic with the masses.  If you know you’re a highly sensitive person then don’t watch the news, don’t read every article online, stay away from the hype and negativity.

Do what you can to prepare your home and be self sufficient even if only for a short time. Are you interested in learning more about being sufficient?  If so let me know!

Do what you can to support your body’s health, take a multivitamin, sleep well, drink lots of water, have extra vitamin D and vitamin D on hand and do the basic things we all know we should already be doing!

I’m not going to let myself spend much time worrying about something I can’t control.

All we can control are our thoughts, feelings and actions we take.

We’ll be just fine.  It’s a wonderful learning experience!
