Do you think you can transform your health?

I’ve been inspired lately to begin writing again.  Ever since our not so new, baby was born I’ve had a bit of a writer’s block .  I want to make sure that everything I write is going to somehow help someone out there.  I guess I’ve felt I have nothing to say that hasn’t already been said by someone else.  The reality is pretty much everything we read IS something that’s been said before, but it takes the right timing, the right tone, the right way of saying it, or the right person to strike a chord in you.

I’d like to talk about the power that’s within all of us to change.

There was a time about 7 years ago that I felt like my poor health was my lot in life.  My destiny.

It was the card that had been handed to me and there was no giving it back.  No getting out of this mess I was in.  I was broken, struggling, tired, sick, dizzy, anxious, I felt like a failure as a mom and wife.

I felt pretty low.

I wallowed in those feelings for a while.  I Tossed and turned until I realized that it was just to uncomfortable to bare.

I knew something had to give because my kids deserved better.  That was my main motivation.  I also new that there was no way I could be a productive member of society and make a difference in anyone’s life when I felt like this.

When you feel anxiety it’s a completely inward emotion.  All you can think about is yourself and how YOU feel.  It’s not that you mean to be selfish, it’s just that you’re so overwhelmed with feeling this burden of stress that it’s hard to think outward.

If anyone out there thinks this is the way we were meant to feel and walk through life you’re wrong.  God, the universe, whatever or whoever you want to call it does NOT want you to feel this way.  I believe it’s merely a lesson.  I can’t tell you exactly why you’re feeling this way or what you need to learn from this lesson, but I can tell you that YOU have the power to improve your health.

The big caveat is, YOU have to be ready to do it.  You can’t rely on someone else to come in and patch it up and make it better.  You really have to take it into your own hands.

You can definitely get support and love from others, but the change has to come from you.  You have to want it and you have to believe you can get there.

I’ve been sitting quietly for too long wondering what the heck to write about.

I have 7 YEARS of experience, I’ve combed through numerous books, I have SO much to say on this topic I don’t know how I even thought for a moment that I didn’t have anything to write about.

I’ve been inspired lately as I’ve been putting together a new project called The Healthy Mom Summit. I’ve been interviewing so many knowledgeable people in the world of health and wellness I am just lit up with information and passion.

My goal is to get writing again, at least once a week.  I’ll be sharing simple tips to help you come back out of the depths of poor health.
